Darren Wilcox is currently an Investigative and Mediation Specialist with Buckingham Security Services, and Board of Trustee member with Regina Catholic Schools. He retired as an Inspector after 28 years from the Regina Police Service (RPS). During this time, he completed Level 1 (Mediators Course); Level 2 Mediator (Introduction to Mediation) and Level 3 Mediator (Leading by Example) and utilized these skills in the leadership positions he held with RPS. He was also a Mediation Coach with Saskatchewan Mediation Services for 6 years.
During his policing career, Darren consistently was a dependable and respected member of the service who in his last 5 years was a highly regarded member of the Executive leadership team. Utilizing an authentic and skillful approach, he forged meaningful relationships with community, insitutional partners and police service members.
His expertise continued, where, as a 20-year member of the Board of the Regina Police Assiciation he handled numerous grievances that were managed in-house or went formally through the Grievance and Arbitration Process. He delicately balanced and respected the roles of both the Service and the Association, and always worked towards healthy resolutions.
Darren displayed leadership as an innovative, forward-thinking Officer all while maintaining a 16-year membership on the Executive of the Regina Police Association, with five of these years as President. Other Board positions include Trustee, Regina Civic Pension Plan, Director, Möbius Benefit Administrators Inc, Past Chair, Sask Sport 2018; and Vice Chair Sask Lotteries 2017.
